Here is a picture showing Fordyce's spots (also called Sebaceous Prominences.) Fordyce's spots are little round white spots, noninfectious all natural occurrence of the penis, usually they appear on the shaft of the male genitals. Most likely they are caused by sebaceous hyperplasia, scientist think it might be an overgrowth of the lubricating glands, which keeps the penis-skin from drying out. Luckily these penile bumps are completely harmless. It might be present on the scrotum as well, and usually affects men at younger ages(15-30)

These red or pink dome shaped looking little bumps are called pearly penile papules or PPP. They are located circumferentially on the bottom side of the penis head. No treatment is necessary unless somebody wants it to remove them for cosmetical reasons. It's not an STD, they can develop after puberty mostly on uncircumcised males. If the patient feels uncomfortable with the appearance of these bumps, these penial bumps can be removed with various laser technologies and other surgical methods.

I have some questions for you - experienced fellas, I have never had sex, (masturbation only) so I'm pretty sure it's not an STD. I checked and I have some small lumps on the very bottom of my penile shaft. I'm only 15-year-old and I'm going through the puberty, so I would like to know if the pubic hair grows onto the penis, or just stays on the bottom, mines are located only on the bottom.

i dont think you have anything to worry about as are they the same color as the skin an your pubic hair should not grow up the shaft it should stop at the beginning of the shaft i also have small lumps so your not the only one

I'm a 22-year-old guy with a whole bunch of questions, since I can remember, I've had a bunch of small lumps (all the same size) under the skin covering the underside shaft of my penis, as well as my scrotum. When I went to my specialist I was told they were normal and completely fine. My question to you guys is that exactly how normal are these bumps and are they common, do other males have these?

I have some small bumps near the base end of my penis and on my scrotum. The bumps do not look like herpes or genital warts. They look almost like goose bumps, and they are always there.

they can be removed with various laser technologies and other surgical method but you would haft to pay for it out of you own pocket because insurance wont cover it because its not its not threatning

they can stay with you for the rest of your life it harmless just after showing let it dry by itself to see if it wont disappear if it doesnt u can get it removed but its a cosmetic procedure tho you pay out pocket insurance dont cover becuase it doesnt affect your health

I dated a guy who had those bumps.. He was told to pull back his skin (he was uncut) & jus let the skin dry. He did that after showering, letting it dry for an hour. After a few days they were gone.

I have this one spot where its a line that is hard and I have squeezed it and white thick stuff comes out, its not water and it has a bad odor to it, I have squeeze stuff out of it like three times a d it keeps coming back. It doesn't burn or hurt or itch, its just there. Its weird when im masturbating because I feel this hard spot, then there is one other spot that is hard and its just a black hard bump, and squeezed it one time and a black small head came out with no odor. i am thirteen and i have white spots on my penis and scrotum. they kind of look like goose bumps. i think they could be fordyce spots. also i have white lumps on my foreskin. thet are different to fordyce spots as they dont seem to be under the skin. i think theres something wrong with me and i am too embarrassed to tell my parents or a doctor. could someone give me some advice please. i need help!

Not really relieved. I think they should teach this in highschool because in health, they only teach you about std's and warts. You think if something common like this occurs in many teens and adults, that people would be aware of it, instead of making the victims feel like their penis is infected or something. It would've made my life much easier, assuming I can speak for every other guy with fordyce spots too. :(

What colour are they ? Do they hurt at all ? How big are they? and roughly how many - if there are too many to count just say that. Do they look like they are under the skin or on top? Can you see them more easily if you stretch out the skin ? Don't squeeze anything, especially on your penis, if it becomes infected it won't be a nice experience. The best idea would be to see your GP / Physician. Don't worry either, 99% of the time things are normal.

I'm in my 40s and I noticed these same 'goose bump' type bumps on my balls and base of penis around 14-15. I was virgin at that time. I asked my dr in my 20s if they were warts and he said no and they were normal. Now i know what they are called. Fordyce's spots.

same here. i read somewhere else that it can be from an overdeveloped something that basically keeps your penis skin from drying out. it happens to guys from around 15-30 yrs old. i noticed mine around 14 15 yrs old.
